The Sheffield Scenester

The Human League are a synthpop/electronic New Wave band. The band was originally formed in Sheffield in 1977. Although it wasn't until the early 80's when they hit the big time after a momentous line-up change....that story in itself is an interesting piece of music history!

The bands most popular album 'Dare' also generated one of the most iconic singles of the 80's..."Don't You Want Me" which hit 1# in the UK, US, and many other countries! They have influenced many proceeding artistes...La Roux, Pet Shop Boys, Madonna...and even Darkstar (to name but a few!)
